Rehoming your cat or dog

Companies are often looking for ways to give back to their local communities and support the missions that align with their core values. One way that they do so is by issuing grants to eligible nonprofits.

Do you need to find a new home for your cat or dog?

Please visit our Safety Net Resources for multiple safety net programs available in your area.

If you still need to find your companion a new home, we’re here to help.

The Rehoming Process

We understand that rehoming your dog or cat is a very difficult decision and will do all we can to make it easier for you.

1. Fill out our rehoming form to the best of your ability. Your answers will help us get to know the animal in question, and will ensure that if we are able to place the dog or cat in a foster home or a new home, that the home is adequate for the needs of the dog or cat.

2. Please be honest- failure to be honest with us can cause multiple issues, from the dog or cat being placed in an incorrect foster with our program, to legal issues for you and our rescue.

3. We currently require rehoming candidates be altered and current on their rabies vaccine. In addition, cats will need a Felv/Fiv test for consideration into our rehoming program.

4. We will do all we can to help, but cannot make any promises that information entered on this form will result in the dog or cat being taken into our program.

5. Someone from the Center Admissions team will be in contact with you within 2-3 days.

Thank you.
